ACAF is thrilled to offer affordable, effective online French courses for learners at all levels.

Our instructors are obsessed with one goal:  bringing you to speak French naturally and with confidence.

Our 13-week fall session will run from September 15 to December 20, 2025.

Class schedule:

• 2 sessions/week (Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday) 6-8:30 pm

• 1 session/week (Saturday) 9-11:30 am or 12 – 2:30 pm

YES, our courses will be a full 13 weeks going until December!

What do we mean by affordable?

Our course fees are a fraction of the cost of French classes offered by universities, school boards, private institutes or Alliance Française. We don’t have to pay for a physical location or the salary of administrators.

Fees for the summer program:

• $160 for 1 session/week
• $295 for 2 sessions/week

Included in the registration fee:
• An original, creative learning resource with audio supports

• Yearly membership to ACAF
• Initial evaluation (if required)

• End of course evaluations in each area (speaking, listening, reading and writing) based on Canadian Language Benchmarks. A speaking evaluation will be conducted by an independent evaluator.

• A certificate of completion providing the results of the evaluations.

What do we mean effective?

Hiring a private instructor is an inefficient and expensive way to learn a language. The best way is to be part of a group of motivated learners at your level, guided by a teacher who knows how language learning works.  Our small class size and well-formed groups will get you speaking from the start!

• Courses are delivered by qualified, experienced French teachers who use communicative language teaching methods
• The focus is on speaking practice — grammar is presented when necessary, and then immediately applied in a communicative context
• Classes are capped at 16 learners who are matched according to their level
• Optional study groups will be formed, providing additional practice outside of class time
• As members of ACAF, all learners can benefit from additional speaking opportunities throughout the year.

Steps for registration:

1.    Complete the registration form by clicking here.
2.    Wait for confirmation by email that you have been enrolled in a suitable class.
3.    Once confirmation has been provided, send an e-transfer of the course fee to info@ici-acaf.ca. Upon request, other forms of payment can be arranged.
4.    Once payment is made, you will receive the link to the classroom and further instructions.
